Senior Director of Total Rewards

About this Position

Nashville-based publicly held company seeks a Senior Director of Total Rewards, who will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the organization's total rewards strategy, including compensation, benefits, and other employee rewards. This role will ensure that these programs are competitive, aligned with business goals, and contribute to attracting, retaining, and motivating talent, ultimately creating a positive and engaging employee experience.

Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer this role will manage Compensation, Benefits, Human Resources Systems (HRIS) and Payroll – preferably with publicly traded company experience. While balancing between strategic and hands on responsibilities, the key area of success will be in compensation. Partnering closely with the CHRO, business partners and key stake holders, this leader will help to drive a significant refresh and transformation of the company’s compensation philosophy, total rewards programs, and how those programs are administered.

Qualifications/Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, related field, or experience.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in Total Rewards and people/team leadership in a mid-size to large organization with experience in a publicly held corporation preferred.
  • Experience designing and managing compensation programs at employee and executive levels.
  • Background supporting the design and implementation of employee benefits programs.
  • In-depth understanding of federal and state law, compliance requirements (HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, ERISA), and general HR practices.
  • HRIS knowledge and/or experience preferred.
